Clearing the Cobwebs

Happy Halloween! I apologize for the break in posts; two months in and homesickness finally hit me. I became a grumpy cynic and I didn’t want that attitude to pervade my stories.

Yesterday, in an attempt to air out my head of sulkiness, I went for a walk to the neighbouring city of Legnano. I decided to ponder the future, because that usually gets me excited and out of a slump. I asked myself questions like: What will I do after graduation? Where will I live? What kind of jobs will I apply for? Truthfully, I know they’re probably more exciting to think about than to put into action. Nevertheless, I think my questions did the trick.

Now, I do have a bunch of notes from past trips, but I think it’s better to preserve my sanity and start afresh. Here are some pictures and very brief descriptions of the cities I've seen:

Monreale, Italy -- Afternoon side trip; meh.

Dublin, Ireland -- Cold and not much to see. Go for the nightlife.

Nice, France -- Stunning! Splurged on the meal.

Vatican City -- "Shh! Everyone crowd in this poorly lit building. No talking or taking pictures." Ugh.

Rome, Italy -- Lots to see. Smells like urine...

Venice, Italy -- Defines charm & beauty. Only visit with a significant other.
