And so it begins. All that planning has come together and
in some unimaginable feat of luck, I made it to my room in Milan.
It amazes me how someone can get to a specific place they’ve
never been, so far away, and without getting lost. I’m particularly proud of
the fact that I made it here considering I have enough trouble when the signs
are in English.
I’ll spare you the details and get to what you want to
know: I still have no Italian girlfriend, I saw the Bosco Verticale (Vertical
Forest) from the shuttle train, and the extent of my trouble was that the
cashier at a nearby grocery store didn’t speak any English. My sleep cycle no
longer fits where I came from nor where I am, but I managed to get some food and
my room is considerably more posh than my residence in first year university.
Now on to some more exciting things!
